Athens, GA — September 5, 2025 — Milestone Construction is proud to announce the successful completion of the SAE Shack renovation project at the University of Georgia in Athens. The project, which was delivered on time and under budget, culminated in a memorable Alumni Dedication and Appreciation Night on Friday, September 5th. Over 400 guests attended, ranging from current chapter members to SAE alumni dating back to the 1970s.

Located in the heart of Athens, GA, the renovation breathed new life into one of SAE’s most cherished gathering spaces—ensuring it will serve future generations for years to come.
Alumni Dedication Night: Honoring the Past, Building the Future
The Dedication and Appreciation event was filled with moments of reflection, recognition, and celebration. Hosted at the newly renovated Shack, the night featured a full program of events that honored both the construction team and the many alumni who made the project possible.

Permanent plaques were unveiled to commemorate the generous support from donors and the campaign team who helped fund the project. - Gleaton Jones Patio Dedication
A newly added outdoor gathering space, named in honor of Gleaton Jones, was officially dedicated, adding another meaningful space to the property. - Alumni Jam Session & Live Music
The event closed with an energetic jam session featuring SAE alumni, followed by a live performance from the band Valley Depalma. - Catered Dinner by Saucehouse BBQ
Attendees enjoyed a classic Athens favorite, with a catered BBQ dinner from Saucehouse, adding to the local flavor of the night.
