We are actively looking for an experienced Superintendent to supervise commercial construction job sites, providing strong leadership to field staff, and ensure successful and safe completion of all trade work. The Superintendent will also work closely with the Project Manager to ensure timely and quality completion of the project.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop project site logistics plan
- Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractor’s work and all deliveries to the site
- Commitment to completion of projects on time and within budget
- Review and understand material budgets and assist to negotiate purchase orders
- Review and understand equipment budgets and negotiate rental rates
- Assist in purchasing materials, ordering equipment, setting up deliveries as required
- Monitor project costs and identify areas for improvement
- Provide leadership in quality process and safety and accident prevention programs
- Document daily construction activities including pictures of site and work in process. Daily project paperwork.
- Coordinate and chair onsite meetings when required
- Understand project schedule and manage the job to follow or improve
- Verify that drawings are kept current
- Problem solving on site with integrity and diplomacy
- Able to communicate professionally with subcontractors, project managers, architects, engineers, and clients
- Supervise completion of all punch lists for turnover
- Assist with warranty claims
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
Education – Skills – Knowledge – Qualifications & Experience
- Five (5) years experience as a Construction Superintendent. Must have commercial construction experience, ground up
construction preferred - English language literacy and fluency
- High school diploma
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with emails
- Must have “can do” attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivated to succeed

We are actively looking for an experienced Director of Field Operations to manage and lead operations of the field staff on multiple commercial construction job sites across the Southeast.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with Management for assignment of all Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent positions
- Assign and coordinate all trade field assignments with the needs of various projects
- Management of all field operations
- Management of multiple superintendents and other field staff; including hiring, training, conducting annual reviews, and overall career development
- Monitoring daily updates from multiple superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors
- Driving project completion with scheduling and quality in mind
- Ensuring overall compliance with OSHA and Safety requirements
- Maintaining a positive work environment for employees, subcontractors, and clients
- Support and oversee superintendent and field staff throughout duration of the job
- Review project schedules with Superintendents. Ensure that critical activities and decisions remain on task to ensure proper delivery. Lookahead in the project to identify potential pinch points and risk areas with the schedule.
- Review and document field issues that impact budget, quality or schedule and properly communicate to management and assist in ways to address issues
- Weekly travel will be required to visit jobsites within the Southeast
Skills/Qualifications:

- Ten (10) years or more of commercial construction experience. Ground up experience required.
- Current or previous experience in a Superintendent role is required
- High school diploma required. An Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), Construction Management, or Architecture degree is a plus
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with email and miscellaneous construction software
- Leadership skills with experience managing a team
- Time Management and Organizational Skills

Milestone hires students for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Our interns and co-ops contribute in meaningful ways and work side by side with our Preconstruction Department, Project Managers, and Field Staff. Our program allows students to attend school while gaining valuable work experience. Interns/ coops are paid hourly in our program.
