The Pathology Lab renovation project was the demolition of 2 existing lab spaces and adjoining office space in the College of Veterinary Medicine building on the University of Georgia’s main campus, originally constructed in 1949, to construct a new, up-to-date pathology lab space for students and faculty to utilize.

The renovation also included new, updated office spaces, a conference room, and ADA restrooms.

At 4,320 square feet, the project was phased to minimize the impact on the occupied spaces and ensure continued use during the course of construction. Scopes included demolition, concrete pour back utilizing a special lightweight concrete mix designed for use on elevated slabs, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heavy-duty epoxy flooring, and finishes.
